Tingoora Chelmsford Road Upgrade | Pavement Stabilisation & Drainage Works

Description:
This project involves pavement reconstruction, intersection upgrades, resurfacing, and structural improvements along Tingoora Chelmsford Road. Works included earthworks, drainage and culvert upgrades, in-situ cement stabilisation using a 3% triple blend across 13,850 m², and bitumen sealing to deliver a smoother and stronger roadway. The upgrade improves durability and safety for all road users.

Scope:

• Profiling of existing shoulders and full-width Type 2.1 overlay.

• In-situ cement stabilisation (13,850 m² at 3% triple blend cement).

• Earthworks, drainage, and culvert installation.

• Bitumen sealing and line marking.

• Traffic management with reversible single-lane flow.

Challenges:

• Complex traffic staging involving phased construction and lane diversions.

• Live traffic separation for safety of crews on foot.

• Longitudinal and cross-drainage upgrades.

• Coordination of contractor and subcontractor teams across tight timeframes.
