Description:
Upgrade existing road in busy Ipswich Industrial corridor. Including removal of existing pavements up to 1m deep and replacing with a variety of materials from unbound pavements to deep life asphalt
Scope:
Earthworks, road pavement, bitumen surfacing, road furniture, driveway construction, clearing and grubbing
Challenges:
Working with 1-lane traffic over 2 stages.
Working with a narrow lane width near the Pound St Intersection Replacing unsuitable material found in some areas of subgrade
