Description:
Design & Construct Pavement Rehabilitation and Asphalt Works – pavement rehabilitation and strengthening on Noosa Rd and Traveston Rd within Gympie Regional Council boundaries.

Scope:
Mill shoulders to nominal 70mm depth for EME2 asphalt placement (1.2m width).
Place EME2 asphalt at nominal 70mm depth (1.2m width).
Apply Asphalt Corrector Course – 1,163 tonnes for uniform remaining layer thickness.
S25E 10mm Seal Coat – 18,925 m² sprayed on corrector and shoulder layers to prevent reflective cracking.
Place structural EME2 layer – 7,068 tonnes at 110mm depth across full pavement extent.
Final Overlay – 2,366 tonnes AC14 asphalt (50mm depth) with C320 binder.

Challenges:
Complex traffic and subcontractor management and coordination.
High demand on Bli Bli Asphalt Plant necessitated swift shift to Brendale Asphalt Plant to avoid delays.
Tight project timeline and supply constraints.
